Get Me Out Of Education Hell
I.
There are three lively wolves inside me.
The first one goes "I'm sick and I can't be spending the little energy I have on writing blog posts".
The second one goes "It's just pressing keys on a keyboard. Get up.".
The third one goes "lol lmao" or something.
There is no fourth one.
The end.
II. Very Well-Written Intro
It's a windy Monday morning. Wind gusts are hitting your closed windows at 71 km/h. The constant, irritating sound gives you a headache after waking up a few hours before.
You realise you forgot to wear socks to bed last night and now you have a cold. Your mom spares you from the torture and lets you skip school after watching you stumble with your phone to your face staring at the GitHub notifications section for 15 minutes.
You sit down, and start writing this garbage blog post lol. Goddammit is this really going to be my first blog post on this site?
III. About Suffering
For people who don't know yet: I am still in 10th grade. In high school. Shocking, I know.
"Holy crap!!!! You're a developer for the top 33th1 starred GitHub project!!!!! At like 12 years old???"
Yes. It's really not that riveting. Consult this graph:

Look at that. It's both beautiful and repulsive. Doesn't that make you say "Fuck me, with God as my witness"?
Anyway, sorry about the tangent.2 The point is that I am finishing school soon and I wanted to talk about some problems with both my generation and the generation "leading" our development. And also how excruciatingly boring my existence is right now.
IV. My "Fine" School
Every day, when I go to school, I am met by my two classmates that also happen to be my only close friends IRL. I also have to awkwardly socialise with my other classmates, who are... let's say, not my type. Or, to put it in another way, mostly idiots. Not that I blame them for that, of course.
I also have a daily run-in with my school's director, who stands in front of the school entrance every morning for some reason.
She decided this semester it would be in the school's and students' best interest to nuke all selection from the school's cafeteria and starve us for exactly the right amount of time to manage to go home and eat seconds before dying from malnutrition.
Eating anywhere that isn't the cafeteria, which is an entire building and 5 flights of stairs away? Disallowed.
Going outside the school for a few minutes to buy something that actually contains protein? Our other campus had a kid who got kidnapped while buying a KitKat or some shit and the school got fined, so no more of that.
But who cares about not being starved to death? What about the lessons!? Yeah they're not any better.
My math classes consist of material that I learnt in previous grades. Fucking triangles and finding angles and shit. We still haven't started calculus yet and I'm apparently 2 grades away from finishing school. Why?
Obviously, the education system is different per-country (and sometimes per-school), but I feel like I somehow have it better than most schools in the world. At least my teachers are smart. At least they want us to think for ourselves and support us through everything. I doubt most schools have that. It is a shame.
V. The End
The education system in most countries is broken and, in my case, it is broken because of:
- The administrators at the top running my school.
- The teachers giving up due to low wages and the fucking kids.
- The actual education given not being good enough.
I hope that, by the time I am dead, most countries in the world will have significantly smarter populations and a better education system than now. I won't cross my fingers.
For now, I am just waiting for my nonsensical suffering to end while I search for opportunities to get a proper education abroad (or a job? but maybe I'm deluding myself for thinking that could ever happen).
Thanks for reading. I know that this post is very messy3 and my future blog posts will hopefully have more effort put into them. See ya.
